Late-Edo period painter of the Maruyama Shijō school. Genki studied with Maruyama Ōkyo and is known with Nagasawa Rosetsu as one of the most important disciples of the early Maruyama Shijō school. He specialized in bird-and-flower painting and portraiture of legendary women.
