Literati painter from Gunma Prefecture. Komuro studied with Tazaki Sōun. He founded the Seiha Dōshikai art association with Takashima Hokkai and Araki Jippo in opposition to the new faction of the Bunten. Nevertheless, from the 2nd Bunten Exhibition onwards, Komura won prizes every time and eventually became a jury member. He founded the Japanese Literati Painting Academy (Nihon Nangain) together with Tajika Chikuson and Yano Kyōson, and was appointed a member of the Japan Art Academy and Imperial Household Artist.
