Nihonga painter from Hiroshima Prefecture, student of Takeuchi Seihō. Keika was active at the Teiten, New Bunten and Nitten exhibitions. In addition, he served as a professor at the Kyoto University of Arts and Crafts and led the private art school Kinugasa-kai. Fusing the naturalism of the Shijō school with the academic style of Chinese classical painters, Keika created a dense, decorative approach with an emphasis on bird-and-flower painting. He was a member of the Japan Art Academy.
