(1874–1954)
Painter from Tokushima Prefecture. Miyake studied with Ōno Sachihiko and Harada Naojirō. Impressed by the works of British painter John Barley, he focused on watercolors. Miyake traveled repeatedly to the United States and Europe and participated in the Hakubakai and Bunten exhibitions. Together with Nakazawa Hiromitsu he co-founded the Kōfūkai Art Association. As a writer, Miyake published Manual of Watercolors and According to Memories. Imperial Household Artist and receiver of the Imperial Art Academy Award.
