(1901–1944)
Painter from Shiga Prefecture, nephew of the Nihonga and literati painter Noguchi Shōhin. Noguchi studied Western painting at the Tokyo Fine Arts School under Kuroda Seiki and Wada Eisaku, but also received the mentorship of the Nihonga painter Hirafuku Hyakushi. He was appointed an Imperial Household Artist and a member of the Tōkōkai art association.
