Nihonga painter from Kyoto. Nishiyama study painting with his uncle Nishiyama Suishō. He later was appointed a professor at the Kanazawa College of Art. Nishiyama participated with his works in the Teiten and Nitten exhibitions, was a member of the Japan Art Academy and a consultant for Nitten.
