(1866–1942)
Nihonga painter and craftsman from Kyoto. Sekka studied painting with Suzuki Mizuhiko and design with Kishi Kōkei. Sekka worked in the tradition of the Rinpa style and received commission from the Imperial palace. Likewise, he left a mark in textile design of Kyoto. Jury member of the National Industrial Expositions and a teacher at Kyoto City School of the Arts.
